Bettye J. Haas

Bettye J. Haas of Naples, FL died peacefully at Naples Green Village on February 22, 2024. She was born in Geraldine, AL on June 24, 1931. Bettye was predeceased by her husband, Leo Haas, and stepson, Leo, Jr., her sisters, Mary Bolton and Doris Nabors and brother Billy Mauldin. Surviving her are a stepdaughter, Pauline Jackson, her nieces and a nephew, and a special sister-in-law, Mary Haas.
Bettye lived in Chattanooga, TN for many years before moving to Naples, FL in the early 1970’s.
Bettye and Leo enjoyed country music. In 1984, they started the Naples Chapter of FL Country Music. They were a duo and performed in Chapter and State Showcases. They also enjoyed camping for many years and traveled extensively in the summers.
After Leo’s death, Bettye had a special friend, Anthony, that she “adopted” in Naples. The family will be forever grateful for his devotion to Bettye during these last few years and challenging times.
