Robert E. Wahlig

Robert Edward Wahlig, 88, of Homosassa, Florida, passed away on April 13, 2024. Known to his loved ones as Bob, he was a very kind person who would help anyone and was a true gentleman. Bob loved his family more than anything.

Bob is survived by his wife of 47 years, Isabel (Liz), his son Robert Mark Wahlig (Christina), his daughter Lisa Zugras (Michael), his grandchildren Robert Francis Wahlig, Selena Velez, Christian Velez, and great-grandson Vincent Quinones. He is also survived by his sibling David Wahlig (Carrie), sister-in-law Cristina Castro (Jose), and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Sadly, Bob was preceded in death by his daughter Maria Wahlig.

In his career, Bob was a dedicated truck driver for 42 years and also worked at Pro-Line Boats. His hobbies included woodworking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. He had a passion for travel and one of his favorite destinations was Disney World.

A private ceremony will be held for Bob. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to a charity of your choice in his memory. Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
