Susan Irene Brouwer, 82, of Naples, Florida passed away peacefully after an extended battle with cancer, on October 24, 2022. Born April 2, 1940, in Goshen, Indiana, Suzi was the daughter of Orval Klink and Esther Irene Todd (Clevenger). Suzi graduated from Syracuse High School in 1959 where she was a cheerleader and scholar. Suzi and Jay were well known members of the Syracuse community as owners of Klink’s Market. Suzi also worked in the banking community for many years, retiring as a bank manager. Suzi is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jay Brouwer. Suzi is survived by her brother, Rob Clevenger, her daughters, Barbara Brouwer, Kathy Burkholder, Laurie Blackburn and daughter-in-law, Vicky Branson. She has seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Suzi’s passion in life was her family. She also enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs, Notre Dame football and the game show network. Suzi was an active member in her community, West Wind, serving on the Board of Directors including a term as President. She was optimistic, loved life and a role model to many people.
A funeral mass will be held on November 14th, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Finbarr in Naples, Florida followed by a celebration of life in the community room at West Wind.
