Dale Caldwell

Dale Caldwell of Naples, FL died on February 15, 2023 in Naples, Florida. Mr. Caldwell was born in Pittsburgh, PA and moved as a small child to Adrian, Michigan where he attended school and graduated from Adrian High School, entered the U. S. Navy and served in Guam and aboard the U.S.S. Boxer, he went on to receive a BS in Civil and Electrical Engineering.

Dale is a member of St. Finbarr's Catholic Community and is survived by his, son, Randale Caldwell of Naples, Florida and daughter Tina Luttrell of Stephens City, VA. Dale has 8 grandchildren. Jason, Justin, Cory Dale, Brandon, Christopher, Nicholas, John and Jessica Marie. Dale is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Caldwell, daughter Patrice Johnston, and his brothers John and Clifford.

Dale moved his family to Southern California in 1956 where he spent 10 years working for Los Angeles County Engineers and 10 years working for the NASA manned space program at Goldstone Tracking Station before moving to Virginia where he worked for Bechtel Corporation. The last 12 years before he retired Dale went in business for himself remodeling and renovating homes. In 1999 Dale and Pat began spending the winter months in Naples where they moved permanently in 2005.

Dale loved sports and was very active, enjoying golf, bowling and especially softball, plus numerous other activities.

The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Finbarr Church on February 27, 2023 at 11:30am. Final committal following Funeral Mass at Palm Royale Cemetery and Mausoleum at 1:45pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Paralyzed Veterans of America, 7 Mill Brook Road, Wilton, NH 03086-0925.
