Davis Henry Truax

Davis Henry Truax, 88, of Naples, Florida, peacefully passed from this earth to his eternal home on Wednesday,  April 6, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. Henry was born on September 22, 1933, to M. Davis Truax and Helen Bush Truax in Wilmington,  Delaware.

He was a graduate of P. S. Dupont High School and the University of Delaware. Henry worked as a commercial loan officer in the banking industry in Delaware for 44 years. He was a member of the Wilmington Delaware Rotary Club for many years, and he also served on the board of trustees of Widener University in Chester,  Pennsylvania for 23 years. Henry retired in 1999 and moved to Naples,  Florida.  He was an avid golfer, gourmet chef, world traveler, sports fan, and thoroughly enjoyed Naples' outstanding restaurants.  He had a distinct taste for the finer things in life.

Henry is predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Carol Staats Truax, and is survived by his son Michael Henry Truax, his daughter-in-law, Beatriz Duarte Truax, and his grandson, Aidan Michael Truax.
A memorial service will be held at Fuller Funeral Home, 4735 Tamiami Trail  E., Naples, Florida, on Wednesday,  April 13, 2022, at 10:00 AM.  A private graveside service for Henry's family will be held at Sylvan Abbey Cemetery, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater,  Florida, on Thursday,  April 14, 2022, at 1:00 PM.
