Doris Marie Trapkus

Doris Smith Trapkus was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world peacefully July 12, 2021 in Naples, FL her home since 1993. A private service will be held at a later date by the family in Rock Island, IL.

Doris was born on the family farm in Hamlet, IL August 20, 1929 to Alfred and Helen Smith. After graduating from high school, Doris attended Milliken University. She married Lawrence “Art” Trapkus in 1950 and together had children Bruce (deceased) and Debbie.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Debbie, granddaughters Kimberly Trapkus, Kristin Trapkus, Katie (Dumicus) McKnight, 3 great grandsons Brady, Jacob and Camden and her sister Diane (Dave) Kelly.
