EARL JAMES MICHEL

Earl Michel, 82, passed away on 6/24/2022 where he resided in Naples FL. He was the husband of Judith Michel and they shared over 56 years together. He was born in Gramercy, Louisiana and was the son of Lester and Noemie Michel. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University and joined the Navy where he attained the rank of Lieutenant Commander.  He then earned another Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Southeastern Massachusetts University and was employed at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center and worked as an engineer there for many years.  He was a member of the American Legion and the Military Officers Association of America. He enjoyed Fishing, current events, and spending time with his family and grandsons.

He is survived by his wife Judith Michel, two sisters, Betty Amato and Margie Brignac, his children; daughter Renée Zampaglione and her husband John, son Chad Michel, 3 grandsons; Cole, Zack and Reid Zampaglione as well as several nieces and nephews.  The memorial service will be held on 6/30/2022 at 12:00-2:00pm at FULLER FUNERAL HOME (4735 Tamiami Trail East, Naples FL 34112) Tel (239) 417-5000.
