JEFFREY I BUERGER

Jeffery Israel Buerger, 77, passed away on May 14, 2022 in Naples, FL. He was the husband of Beverly Buerger. They shared 52 ½ years of marriage together.

Born in Passaic, NJ he was the son of Leopold and Zita Buerger (deceased). He was an avid amateur radio operator for over 50 years having call signs of WB2WIH when he lived in NJ and when he moved to FL he changed his call sign to NJ2F. He loved participating in ham radio contests and hamfests and has many awards and achievements. His proudest moment was when his children, wife and son in law all became ham radio operators. He and his wife owned women’s clothing stores in NJ as follows: Zita’s Fashions in Fair Lawn; co-owner with his sister Ruth of Toby’s in Bloomfield and Lilly’s in North Arlington. Upon moving to Naples, he worked for Books – A – Million for over 13 years and was known as the Book Master at the Naples location.

Jeffrey loved his family, swimming in his pool with his wife daily. He was super proud of his grandchildren and of all of the accomplishments his wife and children achieved. He would tell everyone he met, he had the best family ever.

Jeffrey is survived by spouse Beverly Buerger, children Toby Ferrel (Kevin), Dana Rowtie (Anthony), grandchildren Allison Rowtie and Ryan Rowtie. Extended family, Yvonne Rowtie, Carlos Morales and Rose – Ann Morales. Sister Ruth Lefkovic (Fred), Neice and nephews: Todd Lefkovic, Debbie Abrahms (Josh), Bert Lefkovic (Robin), Scott Cirkus, David Cirkus and Buddy Cirkus. Brother in Laws Bobby Cirkus and Larry Cirkus. He was predeceased by his Parents “Mama” and “Baba” Buerger, Aunt Hilda Gorden, Neice Donna Haddad, Joseph Rowtie, Julie Ann Morales.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday May 17, 2022 at Fuller Funeral Home East at 4735 Tamiami Trail East, Naples, FL 34112. The family will receive visitors from 10am to 11am with services beginning at 11am with interment at the final resting place at Palm Royale Cemetery located at 6780 Vanderbilt Beach Rd, Naples, FL 34119. Everyone is welcome to the home of Beverly and Jeffrey Buerger 4236 5th Ave SW, Naples, FL 34119 for a gathering with refreshments in celebration of Jeffrey’s life.
