James Patrick Whitley

James P. Whitley 60, of Naples, Florida, passed away on February 7, 2021 at home, surrounded by family.  Jim was born and raised in Newark, NJ.  As a kid, Jim enjoyed playing football.  In 1973, he was the Most Valuable Player of the Vailsburg Junior Football League, where he was a Safety and a Tight End.
 
He left New Jersey for Florida in the late eighties. For the last 30 years, Jim was a loyal employee of The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club.  
 
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Zenaida.  He is survived by his loving brothers Russ, Frank and Dan. He was a loving brother-in- law to Kathy, Nenita and Paul and  had many loving relatives in the Philippines.  Jim was a Loving uncle to Tom, Dan, Sara, Kelly, Mercedes and Patrick. Jim was predeceased by his father, Frank and mother, Helen.
 
Visitation will be held on Thursday February 11, 2021 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at  Fuller Funeral Home East 4735 Tamiami Trail East,  Naples
 
Funeral Mass will be on Friday February 12, 2021 at 10:30am at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Naples
