Joseph Frank Weinmann

Joseph Francis Weinmann, 89, of Naples, FL died May 3, 2021. His final days were spent surrounded by family and loved ones.
Born January 26, 1932 to Francis and Anna Weinmann in Bronx, NY, where he attended Cardinal Hayes High School. At the age of 19, he met the love of his life, Mary Smith to whom he was married to for 65 years. A parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Tappan, NY, Joseph was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 45 years (dedicating 35 years to the Piermont Council), achieving the rank of 3rd Degree Knight. He and Mary spent 50 years in Rockland County, where they raised three boys. In 1971, while his three boys were all playing football, Joseph started the Orangetown Mighty Midgets Soccer team for boys who were cut from football. The league just celebrated its 50th anniversary. Joseph retired from the Rockland County Sewer Department in 1992, after 25 years of service.
Joseph was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary (Bea) Weinmann and cherished grandson, Dylan. He is survived by his sons, Joseph (Lisa), James, Michael (Kristen); and grandchildren, Christopher, Danielle, Connor and Aiden.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in East Naples on Monday, May 10th at 10:00 AM for family and friends.
