Judith M. Mallard

Judith Mae Mallard, 81, of sunny Marco Island, passed away surrounded by family in the embrace of her husband on Sunday, July 25, 2021.

Judy was born on Groundhogs Day, February 2nd, 1940, to Geraldine Ketring and Vincent Price in the city of Dayton, Ohio. Judy immediately brought joy and laughter into the world. Judy went on to graduate from Mackenzie High School on Detroit’s west side. During this time Judy began working as a secretary at the pharmaceutical company Mallard Inc., where she met her best friend and future husband Karl Mallard.

Judy and Karl were married almost 63 years and had three children, Suzanne VanBiesbrouck, Michael Keith Mallard and Steven Karl Mallard.

Judy was a fiercely dedicated mom to all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family came first and was above all else to Judy. Judy was the epidemy of class with a wicked sense of humor. Judy’s happiness was infections and made those around her feel worthy of love. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.

Judy was predeceased by her parents Geraldine Ketring, Vincent Price and her adoring stepfather Kenneth Miller. She is survived by her husband Karl Mallard; children Sue VanBiesbrouck and Mike and Steve Mallard; grandchildren Kelly Cooper Garcia (Mike Garcia), Cristin Keelan, Alexandra and Patrick VanBiesbrouck; great-grandchildren Desmond, Kacy and MaKaiya Garcia, Erin and Declan Ramsey, and Riley VanBiesbrouck.

Services will be held on Thursday, July 29th from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home East Naples located at 4735 Tamiami Trail E, Naples, FL 34112. An additional service will be held at a later date to celebrate Judy’s life in Grosse Pointe, Michigan.
