Kevin Heeney

Kevin Joseph Heeney, 81, passed away suddenly and peacefully in his Naples, Florida home on September 9, 2022. 

Kevin is survived by his wife, Donna (née Dorweiler); his children, Patty (Todd) and Dan (Kerrie); and, his grandchildren, Kasey, Devin, Fiona, Matt, Maeve, Claudia and Griffin. 

Kevin was originally from the west-side of Chicago, lived in Palos Hills, Illinois most of his life, and resided in Naples, Florida since 2005. Kevin was a loving husband and devoted father and grandfather. His quiet demeanor and quick wit made him a friend to many. He was a 58-year member of the Chicago Pipefitters Local 597, a talented cook, an avid reader, and seasoned golfer. He loved coaching youth sports (boxing, football, softball, baseball), and was a loyal, yet sometimes frustrated, Chicago Bears fan. During football season, he prepared breakfasts, lunches and dinners for friends and family at Bears tailgaters outside Soldier Field. Later in life, he enjoyed spending time with his wife, kids and grandkids, endless crossword puzzles and a good old fashioned cocktail. 

Kevin was passionate about his family and friends. To celebrate the life of a man we all loved, a memorial service will be held in the Chicagoland area in the near future.
