Lucile Maran, 94, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sat. Aug. 21, 2021, in Naples, FL. Her husband Tony died in 2012 and she is survived by her children Mitzi (Joseph) Curi, Las Vegas, NV, and Michael, E. Lansing, MI. Born in Mt. Pleasant, MI, on March 30, 1927, Lucile was a remarkable woman. A proud graduate of Central Michigan University, she was a teacher at several Mt. Pleasant elementary schools before becoming a business-owner (the Mole Hole in Mt. Pleasant and the Wind in the Willows in Naples). She dabbled in antiques and was buying and selling antiques and art in a local store until a few years ago. Curious about other people, she made friends wherever she went and kept many for a lifetime. A private memorial will be held at later date. To share a memory on online, contact fullereast.com. Lucile was fond of her dog Jezebel, so her family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation be given to any local humane society.
