On Thursday, July 29, 2021, at 10:37 AM, the heavens became a more interesting place when Maria Conchita Ibáñez Judd arrived at the Gate. At the Gate she asked St. Peter how many cities were named after him. “Look it up and you will see there are 15!”
Conchita was 82 and going on 39. Conchita had an extraordinary life. To begin with her full name is Maria Conchita Helga Ernesta Olivia Christina Manon. Her maiden name: Irion means “will be going” in French. And if you ask anyone Conchita was always, and I mean always on the go. If it wasn’t’ buying and selling for her two wonderfully eclectic stores in Tin City it was travelling the World. From India, Morocco, Nepal, China, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Myanmar, all of South America to Russia (when it was still USSR) and let’s not forget every possible country in Europe. Her motto- “travel is the one expense that makes you richer.” Conchita spoke and wrote fluently, German, English, French, Spanish and Italian. She was a great raconteur and loved to talk. Although born in Vienna, Austria she lived in, Switzerland, Italy, Michigan, Spain, El Salvador, and Florida.
Conchita is sorely missed by her children: Andres, Tania, Sabrina, Michelle and Danny and by her adoring grandchildren Leo, Sam, Cristian, Dylan as well as Danny’s very chubby dog (thanks to Conchita) Bailey and Michelle’s fluffy Bentley (her CAT!!) . Conchita loved to read, cook, tend to her orchids and take care of her adopted children: her staff. She loved to laugh, live and drink a good glass of wine with a bit of cheese please!
As you always said Mother: “We miss you already!”
Services will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, 2:00-4:00 PM at Fuller Funeral Home East Naples, 4735 Tamiami Trail E. Naples Florida, 34112.
