Nancy Ann Biglow

Nancy Ann (nee von Glahn) Biglow, age 87, died peacefully at Avow Hospice Center in Naples on May 24, 2023. She was a 1954 graduate of Springfield (PA) High School. She went on to Bucknell University where she earned her Bachelors degree. This is where she met the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Biglow. They married after graduating in 1958 and were rarely apart for the next 65 years. After Bob's Naval service the moved to Warren, NJ to raise their family.

Nancy was a was a wonderful wife and mother. She loved to play tennis, winning many local titles. She was active in the community serving many years on the town recreation committee and she was a lifelong volunteer at local hospitals including Physicians Regional on Collier Blvd. Most of all she loved sports, she never missed a match, game or meet for her children and this carried over to following her grandchildrens' activities, sometimes from the parking lot with binoculars. She was a kind lady that never met a stranger as her friends and neighbors can attest. Nancy and Bob retired to the Eagle Creek Community where they lived for 20 years playing tennis and golf and meeting many wonderful friends.

Nancy is survived by her husband Robert Biglow. She is also survived by her daughter, Baerbara Biglow Jacobus, son-in-law Jeffrey Jacobus and grandson Peter Wender of Basking Ridge, NJ. Also by son, Michael Biglow, daughter-in-law Kimberly Biglow and grandchildren Michael Biglow, Jr and Allison Biglow of Brecksville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, bother Ralph and sister Betty.

A celebration of life service will be held on May 28, 2023 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 in Cyprus Room at the Eagle Creek Clubhouse. Interment services will be private. Flowers may be sent to Eagle Creek Clubhouse, 11 Cyprus View Drive, Naples, Florida 34113.
