Peter James Ventrelli

Peter (Pete) James Ventrelli passed away in Naples, Florida on October 13th, 2023 at the age of 74. Pete was born October 4th, 1949 – son to Peter (Pete) Edward Ventrelli and the late Mildred Ventrelli (nee Sekenski); Proud brother to Pamela Rudin (nee Ventrelli), and Jaclyn Dutcher (nee Ventrelli); Much-loved husband of Peggy Ventrelli (nee Michalowski); and amazing father to Peter Richard Ventrelli, and Kelly Ventrelli. Graduate of Illinois State University (BS, MA), dedicated teacher (Hayworth High School, West Leyden High School, East Aurora High School, Morton West High School, Glenbrook North High School, Downers Grove North High School, St. Francis High School), Pete was passionate about education and teaching students to question everything to forge their own strong path. Pete was a renowned football coach in the state of Illinois, being elected to Illinois High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2003 and Inducted into the Downers Grove North Hall of fame in 2009. Pete dedicated his life and career to his students, athletes and family and it can be recognized in the lives he touched. Pete was an avid fisherman and dove deep into the sport to learn everything he could – same as he did with everything he cared about. Pete was a great man of faith and is now at peace. He left a massive mark on everyone who knew him during his time with us and will forever be missed.
