We May Lose, But Jesus Gains

It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Philip Brewster Thomas of Naples Florida who passed away peacefully at the age of 101, on November 24, 2023. Philip was born on November 11, 1922 in Worcester, Massachusetts to the parents of Elton Brewster and Ruth Gerety Thomas.
Philip was the 11th generation descendant of William and Mary Brewster two of the original Mayflower voyagers of 1620.

Philip married and is survived by the love of his life Jean on July 29, 1943 recently celebrating their 80th wedding anniversary. Also surviving are his six children Scott Alan Thomas, Philip Elton Thomas, Randall Paul Thomas, Julie Jean Thomas, Ronald Joseph Thomas and Joelle Marie Thomas. Eleven Grand Children, Twenty Four Great Grand Children and One Great, Great Grand Child.

In November of 1943 Phil enlisted into the US Military serving both the US Army and US Air Force. He started his WWII tour of duty in Tidworth, England working around the clock repairing and replacing instruments on the B-17’s in preparation for “D-Day”. Phil then went into combat in France and Germany. After returning back to the states Phil became an Entrepreneur entering the jewelry industry as his lifelong career finally retiring at the age of 95. Since 2018 Phil has resided at Tuscany Villas Assisted Living of Naples, Florida along with his wife Jean where they enjoyed many daily activities and found new friends.

A Mass will be held at St Peter the Apostle Catholic Church on Monday December 4th, 2023 from 10-11 a.m.
