RONALD R KRISANDA
April 30, 1935 ~ May 14, 2022 (age 87) 87 Years Old
Ronald R. Krisanda, 87, of Naples, Florida, passed away Saturday May 14, after a short illness. He was the husband of Geraldine Krisanda. They shared 67 years of marriage together and he died on their wedding anniversary.
Born in Dickson City, PA, he was the son of the late Martin and Ursula Krisanda. He was raised in Trenton, NJ where he graduated from Trenton Central High School. He went on to complete a Tool and Die apprenticeship in 1960 while working at P.A. Horvath Mfg. Company. He worked as a tool and die maker for over 40 years, including at GW Plastics in Randolph, VT, Thomas & Betts in ME, and Hellermann Tyton in Naples, FL. Ron also served in the Navy Reserve Surface Division from May, 1952 until he was honorably discharged in May, 1960.
Ron and his wife Gerry have been residents in Naples since 1998, where they have enjoyed the opportunity to travel in their retirement and have been active in their community. He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Naples. He was also active in the Elks club while living in Vermont. Over the years he has enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including skiing, golfing, and motorcycling. But gardening was the interest he pursued most consistently throughout his life, taking great care of his yards and gardens, whether big or small, in the homes he and Gerry shared. He loved to tell jokes and stories and was a consummate napper. He was an avid historian, pursuing his interest in history through the Internet, television, and books.
He is survived by his wife Geraldine, son Ronald M. (Cynthia), and daughter Karen (Peter) and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be a private event for family and his final resting place will be at the Columbarium at St. Peter, the Apostle Catholic Church. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Ron's favorite charity, the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
