January 24, 1931 ~ January 11, 2022 (age 90) 90 Years Old

Tribute

Raymond A. Pocquette, age 90 of Naples left this life on January 11, 2022. Faith tells us he is now reunited with his beloved wife Irene D. Pocquette who preceded him in death.
Ray is survived by his children René (Ted) Klumb, Raymond C. (Tina) Pocquette, Russel Pocquette, and Angela (Bill) Humburg. He will be missed by his sisters, Carol Ropella and Mary (Tom) Chervenak. He is loved and remembered by his seven grandchildren, Rebecca (Matt) Anundsen, Raymond J. (Nancy) Pocquette, Nicholas (Sheena) Pocquette, Marin Pocquette, Silas Humburg, William (fiancé Yer Xiong) Klumb and Katherine Klumb. He was excited to become a great grandpa with the arrival of Ryann Pocquette. Ray is fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Ray enjoyed a long career with 35 years of service in the Bell System, starting as a lineman with Wisconsin Telephone and concluding in marketing and consulting in information systems with AT&T. He thoroughly enjoyed his time as an AT&T retiree when in 1990, he and Irene left Wisconsin and relocated to Naples Florida, or “paradise”. Over the years, many friends and family members enjoyed their hospitality. Ray was an avid golfer and brought his enthusiasm and optimistic view of life to his other pursuits including singing in the St. Ann Catholic Church choir and proudly supporting Irene as a member of the Naples Philharmonic Chorus.
Even in the last few years as his health declined, Ray continued to make new friends and influence others with his positive outlook. Special thanks go to Lanny and Jill Loague; and to Danielle, Jeanette and Slina for their tender care and companionship.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 11 am at St. Ann Catholic Church 985 3rd St S, Naples, Florida.
