COAKLEY, WILLIAM R.
Our Bill was welcomed into the kingdom of God on Saturday July 24 2021 after a long battle with Parkinsons Disease. He was 85.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife Mary, his son Timothy and daughter in law Erin, his son in law Patrick. His loving daughter Karen predeceased him one year ago. Bill is also survived by his brothers, Raymond, Peter, Donald and sister Eileen.
Bill was a long time Naples resident and retired from Collier County Government after setting up the County Commissioners Internet Services.
Bill had a long history of volunteerism in Naples. He was a charter member of both the Naples Free Net and DPI-SIG (photography) club, serving as President of both clubs, teaching adult education courses in photography at Barron Collier H. S.
He and his wife Mary volunteered at Collier County Harvest delivering food to the needy.
As an active member of St. Peter the Apostle, he served on various committees and was a proud 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 1722 Naples-Marco Island. The family mourns the loss of this truly giving person.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle RC church on Wednesday August 4th at 10am and his ashes will be interred in the Columbarium at the church.
